The brightest star in the above field is catalogued as SAO179041 and at 5th magnitude
is nearly at the limit of human naked eye visibility, yet dominates the scene above.
Numerous galaxies can be seen here, the largest being NGC3312 (just left of centre) but perhaps the
most interesting is NGC3314...which is masked by another spiral galaxy (PGC31531/NGC3314b) directly in front of it.
